Montgomery County Emergency Service District #3 Employment Requirements

Minimum requirements for employment with the MCESD #3 include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Be between 18 and 40 years of age, prior full-time experience may exempt age limit
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Be certified through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as a Basic Firefighter
  • Be certified through the Texas Department of State Health Services as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT)
  • Have or be able to obtain a Social Security Card
  • Possess a valid Texas driver's license and have no more than two (2) moving violations within the previous year
  • No DWI convictions
  • You must be of good moral character with:
    • No felony convictions (subject to verification)
    • No habitual usage of drugs or alcohol
    • No immoral characteristics that may be in any way an embarrassment to MCESD #3
